  Bandmaster Yvonne Ferguson

It is my great pleasure as Bandmaster, to welcome you to the new website of the Bellshill Salvation Army Band as we mark the beginning of a new era in the band’s history.

Following 20 years as Bandmaster, Ian Dickie retired from that position at the beginning of 2013, passing on what is without doubt an extremely precious and exciting legacy to myself. It is with unquestionable commitment, joy and humility that I assume that position, endeavo
uring to ensure that at all times, God is glorified through our service.

Bellshill Band was formed in 1921 and has consistently supported and enhanced the worship and ministry of the Corps. The present band maintains a busy and effective schedule presenting the gospel in its musical ministry within the Corps and through Open Air witness, visits to local churches, participation in divisional/territorial meetings and visits to other Army centres.

The band personnel reflect various walks of life and also hold a wide range of Local Officer positions within the Corps.

As the band looks forward with optimism to the opportunities for witness, I would encourage you to follow the ministry of the band via our website, praying that you will be blessed, challenged and inspired.

Yvonne Ferguson - Bandmaster
